Selam, Neighbor!

Thank you for your interest in Prophetic: The Public Theology Fellowship. This fellowship is energized by three main goals. First, we seek to encourage the vision and practice of public theology in Ethiopia and other majority-world contexts. Second, we aspire to improve the quality of ethical, faith-based imagination and leadership in our public life. Third, in both, we exist to love God and neighbor for our mutual flourishing.

Prophetic aims to connect globally respected and locally emerging faith leaders, scholars, and practitioners. Our inaugural fellowship will take place over ten weeks, running from February 1 to April 5, 2025. Each session will be about 1.5 hours long. Fellows are expected to attend every session, though they are allowed two absences throughout the fellowship, but only if absolutely necessary. Please be aware of this time commitment as you continue applying. 

This application is designed to help us get to know you – your heart, your convictions, and your goals. For this reason, we kindly ask that you answer the following questions as honestly as possible.
